From November 22nd to 24th, the management team got together at the Knof office in Krsko, Slovenia to talk about the advancement of the project. We meet online every month but this time we had the opportunity to spend time together, reflect on what we have already achieved and to discuss future plans.
We had an imspiring section about the board game we are creating in the project, as well as about our final Value of Waste event in April 26 in Zagreb alongside the Sava river, where you are all welcome to join!
We are excited for what is to come!
The location that hosted the meeting was KNOF's recycling and upcycling center.
In their 3000 m2 space they are trying to give a second life to the objects that were donated to them, including, well, everything.
Here you can find literally every household item and there is even a separate store for clothes. But they are not only selling, but also repairing and upcycling, thanks to their sawing machines, their upholstery and carpenter workshop.
In their laboratory, KNOF is doing experiments on how to re-use plastic, as well as textile waste, by creating, for example, durable furnitures and sound insulation.
Their work is amazing, but we all need to do our share in this mission.
You can read more about how to reduce waste in our monthly Journal, with a special focus on "A More Responsible Christmas!". Don't buy more then you need and don't let objects end up in the trash!
